2012 Southeast Asia Tour
December 2, 2011
Southeast Asia, we are coming for you.
After an exciting tour in 2010 through Los Angeles, Washington DC, Hong Kong and Japan, The Other Duck is getting geared up for our 2011-2012 Southeast Asia (SEA) tour. With stops in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines, we will be bringing you dance workshops along with exclusive Other Duck fashion shows. With an experienced team of dancers, choreographers, artists and designers, The Other Duck is doing it all and we want to give you a taste.
Joining you on the 2011-2012 SEA tour is the mastermind behind it all Cheryl Koo, along with her talented friends and co-workers Aye Hasegawa, Beau Fournier and Q Burdette. It's going to be something like you have never seen before. Get ready to be moved.
Kicking off our 2011-2012 SEA tour in Singapore on December 16th, The Other Duck will be performing at United We Boogie and at Zouk on December 18th. Next, we will be making our way to Malaysia to reunite with the lyricists, Negative. After a two-time collaboration with them, we are currently working on another shirt and snapbacks, coming out soon. Our next stop will be in Indonesia, bringing you a two-day dance workshop. And to end our tour, we are hitting the Philippines. The Other Duck will be putting on a show with our brothers from Virginia, SNRG in Manila on January 14th. We are beyond excited to see all of you this year and can't wait to share this experience.
By bringing The Other Duck to you, we are able to accomplish our five main objectives: spreading our message, bridging communities together, redefining the meaning of fashion shows, making moves and the ultimate collaboration. The SEA tour lets us bridge communities together by using the vibes of each country's own unique culture to add a special touch to each individual show and workshop. We will also be holding casting in every city we visit for you to have a chance to be a part of the show. But not just any show, The Other Duck is redefining the meaning of fashion shows. To us, it's not just about models walking down a runway. By playing with musicality, different art forms and all types of movement, we are putting on, what we like to call, a REAL show. But with that being said, the SEA tour isn't only about making moves with dancing, it's about making moves in our own lives.
No more sitting around and waiting for something to come to you, you have to make things happen. So here's your chance. The ultimate collaboration is about working together to create something so grand that no one person could do it alone. So that's why WE NEED YOU. Come be a part of the movement. SEA DuckBuddies unite!
